Our Programs
New Leash on Life is focused on all aspects of animal welfare, from community education to spay/neuter to finding forever homes for the many animals in our care. Below, learn more about each of these programs and how you can get involved!
The JOY Clinic
The The JOY Clinic provides low cost/spay neuter to any dog or cat in need. An appointment is required - please text (615) 281-0064 or email fix@newleashonline.com to schedule. We are proud to be part of the National Spay/Neuter Response Team! This is a network of spay/neuter clinics that trained at the National Training Center of Humane Alliance, a program of the ASPCA. We follow their established veterinary standards of care in offering quality, affordable spay/neuter services.
Adoption Center
The NLOL Pet Adoption Center is the longest-standing operation of the NLOL family. Our mission to establish permanent adoption of abandoned cats and dogs is achieved by providing shelter, food, basic medical care and training to each rescued animal. Each year, we touch the lives of over 1000 companion animals that, through no choice or fault of their own, were handed over to our care. Contact the Adoption Center at (615) 444-1144 or email info@newleashonline.com.
Adopt A Kennel
Our Adopt A Kennel program is a great way to support us as well as promote your business or organization or honor yourself, a friend, or family member. When you adopt a dog or cat kennel, your choice not only has a huge impact on the animals here but also is a wonderful way to show your commitment to animals with the community. We'll provide signage for you to display in your business or organization to show how you support animals in need.
Paw Pantry
The Paw Pantry program is made possible through food donations from community members and local businesses. The pantry program is a once a month pet food assistance program to help pet owners faced with financial hardship with dog or cat food to assure they can keep their pets in the home. We offer assistance the first time "no questions asked" as long as we have food available. Though Wilson County residents take priority, if we have food in our pantry, we help any pet owner in need including pet owners in surrounding counties.
Pantry hours: Tues- Sat 2PM - 4:30PM.
The Angel Fund
The Angel Fund is a special fund at New Leash on Life dedicated to providing medical treatment to the animals in our care. Used to treat everything from heartworm, mange and injuries, the financial resources provided through this fund saves lives. The Angel Fund is made possible through supporter donations. 100% of your gift goes directly to medical treatments for dogs and cats in our care. Become an angel to an animal in need today.
Friends of New Leash
By making a monthly contribution to the Friends of New Leash, you help protect the lives of innocent animals. Your donation helps NLOL ensure the safety and well-being of dogs and cats, prevent pet overpopulation, and educate our community on the responsibilities of pet ownership. Your contribution allows us to show up every day to feed, shelter and care for every animal that crosses our threshold and to provide spay & neuter services to thousands in our community.
