For the men and women who served our country, a dog or cat is far more than a pet. When the structure of military life falls away, a companion animal can become a reason to get up in the morning, a steady daily routine, a source of comfort on the hardest days, and a friend who asks for nothing but love in return. We believe no veteran should ever have to choose between caring for themselves and caring for the animal.
Operation Support Our Veterans is New Leash On Life’s year-round commitment to the veterans in our community. Through the Paw Pantry and The JOY Clinic, we help veteran pet owners with food, supplies, vaccinations, and affordable veterinary care so they can keep the companions they love close.
Each year we mark that commitment on Veterans Day with a special day of free care at The JOY Clinic. We open our doors to provide spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite prevention for the pets of veterans, at no cost, honoring their service by caring for the animals who serve them every day. We offer this on the honor system, with no proof of service required, to any veteran who steps forward.You can help us keep this promise.
