PROVIDING LOVE, CARE, AND HOPE TO ANIMALS IN NEED
Dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community through shelter, placement, spay/neuter, education and awareness.
LEARN MOREOur Mission
Our hope for the future is that there will be no unwanted, unloved or abandoned companion animal. We will continue with our aggressive spay/neuter campaign and our owner education programs in the hopes that any pet ever adopted will find a permanent, loving home. We believe that with the involvement of our community we will make a significant impact on the welfare of companion animals, but we need your help and understanding. Together, will make the difference.
Community Events
Throughout the year, New Leash on Life and our wonderful sponsors and donors host community events to raise both funds and awareness for our cause. From yard sales to family fun days to dog days at the pool and baseball games, these events are a great way for people in the Nashville area to get involved with fellow animal lovers. Our Programs
Adoption Center615-444-1144
The NLOL Pet Adoption Center is the longest-standing operation of the NLOL family. Our mission to establish permanent adoption of abandoned cats and dogs is achieved through this facet of our overall mission, as we provide shelter, food, basic medical care and training to each rescued animal.
The JOY Clinic615-281-0664
The Joy Clinic provides spay/neuter services to any dog or cat in need. The clinic does serve low income families but is open to all pet owners.
Spay or neuter for cats is $50, and it's $100 for dogs. If assistance is needed, please check with our staff to see if there is a grant available to help.
An appointment is required.
We are proud to be part of the National Spay/Neuter Response Team! This is a network of spay/neuter clinics that trained at the National Training Center of Humane Alliance, a program of the ASPCA. We follow their established veterinary standards of care in offering quality, affordable spay/neuter services.
Paw Pantry
Thanks to donations from the community and local businesses, we are able to provide monthly pet food assistance to pet owners in need.
As long as we have food available, we help pet owners in Wilson Co and surrounding counties. Assistance is provided the first time no questions asked, everyone can get in a bind and need a little help. After the first time, proof that your pets are spay or neutered is required. If they are not spay or neutered, we can help with that need.
Friends of New Leash
By making a monthly contribution to the Friends of New Leash, you help protect the lives of innocent animals. Your donation helps NLOL ensure the safety and well-being of dogs and cats, prevent pet overpopulation, and educate our community on the responsibilities of pet ownership. Your contribution allows us to show up every day to feed, shelter and care for every animal that crosses our threshold and to provide spay & neuter services to thousands in our community.
The Angel Fund
The Angel Fund is a special fund at New Leash on Life dedicated to providing medical treatment to the animals in our care. Used to treat everything from heartworm, mange and injuries, the financial resources provided through this fund saves lives and ultimately contributes to the health and well-being of all animals living in our facility. The Angel Fund has enabled us to increase our adoption rate to 95%.
